Bring him home soon... Buy Victory Bonds (poster [between
1942 and 1945]).
Québec City Archives, funding from Québec City Victory
Loans Committee.
The Documents and Archives Management Division of Québec City’s Archives and
Registry Department maintains an extensive collection of documents attesting to
the city’s history.
These documents relate to streets and shipping lanes, the development of its
water distribution and wastewater treatment networks, and public works such as
snow removal, police and firefighting services, public markets, territorial
development, recreation and community life, the development of administrative
services such as finances, and the management of municipal staff, equipment, and
property.
Museum reserve
The Documents and Archives Management Division is also responsible for the
museum reserve. Items with heritage value and works of art belonging to the city
which are not on display in a municipal building are stored here under optimal
conditions.

Research tools
A number of research tools essential to quickly and easily locating
historical archives are available to the public. They come in the form of
publications, typed notebooks, and written or computerized lists.
These research tools can be traditional, like general statements,
inventories, and indexes. In other cases, as for more common research subjects,
they may be more innovative by providing researchers with lists of sources to be
consulted as well as instructions for finding these sources.
All artwork, regardless of where it is displayed or stored, is accessible
through a computerized inventory.
